This event on November 17 will begin with a meet and greet at 9:00pm, followed by an introduction and film screening of A Dangerous Idea at 9:30pm. This film examines the history of the US eugenics movement and its recent resurrection, which uses false scientific claims and holds that an all-powerful "gene" determines who is worthy and who is not.

Following the screening, there will be a Q&A session featuring: Agustín Fuentes, professor of anthropology at the University of Notre Dame; Jennifer Raff, assistant professor of anthropology at the University of Kansas; Jonathan Marks, professor of anthropology at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte; Stephanie Welch, director and co-writer of A Dangerous Idea; and Jed Riffe, producer of A Dangerous Idea.
