First Unitarian Universalist Church is screening the documentary A Dangerous Idea on May 10 at 7pm. This film examines the history of the US eugenics movement and its recent resurrection, which uses false scientific claims and holds that an all-powerful "gene" determines who is worthy and who is not.

After the viewing of the documentary the audience is invited to engage in conversation. Closed captioning is available.

Other documentaries exploring social justice issues will be shown at the church on Friday nights in June and October.
